Leo tunapika? (What are we cooking?)

My love for cooking has driven me into reading various food blogs and viewing various you tube cooking channels. On a random day I happened to stumble upon pendo la mama a cooking journal that has pretty easy recipes and best part of it is that it is Kenyan (easily available ingredients).

After several months of following this blog, I also felt inspired to start my very own blog. After exchanging long emails with Grace , I felt confident to start.

The name search was pretty nerve wrecking but hubby was quick enough to suggest ‘Leo tunapika?’ a question he asks almost daily and voila we had a name.

And the journey begins.

I hope you will enjoy our cooking escapes.

  1. Hi, Had the same question in my head last night and many nights, you should see me cracking my head. To answer your question about your blog, I think its great and a great move in the right direction to inspire people to get cooking at home. Cooking is not that hard but requires someone to be passionate about it and want to do try out new stuff. The future to what we are up to as foodies is bright in Kenya and personally I want to create awareness that cooking is a fun thing to do kwanza when it can incorporate the whole family and like I said the future is bright for food bloggers and enthusiasts to make a living in teaching people how to cook 🙂

    1. I’m glad the future is bright for us foodie bloggers. I also share the same vision of showing people that cooking can be fun and simpl and most importantly that anyone can cook and cook great food for that matter. Also to highlight the fact that even if you are a working wife/husband you can still get to cook delicious and nutritious food. Thanks for stopping by.

  2. I’m newly wed and just stumbled upon your wonderful blog. “Leo tunapika?” is becoming a faq in our house 🙂 so I’ll be sure to drop by more often for some cooking inspiration. Thanks Gatuiri
